About me:
I grew up in Natchez, Mississippi, and graduated from the University of Mississippi with a BA in Elementary Education K-6. I taught 4th grade for 2 years and 5th grade for 2 years in the Jackson Public Schools. I moved to North Carolina and taught a 3rd/4th multi-age class for 6 years. I took time off to stay home with my children and then taught Track-out Camp for grades K-5 for 5 years. I joined the staff at Sanford Creek in 2013 as an Instructional Assistant in Kindergarten. I renewed my license and I taught kindergarten for 3 years. This is my fourth year teaching First Grade. I have been married to my husband, Kevin, for 24 years and we have 3 daughters. My oldest daughter, Taylor, graduated from NCSU and is working full time. Mallory graduated from NCSU in May and is working full time. Logan will be a junior at NCSU. I love to spend time with my family, watch NCSU sports, read and walk in my spare time.
